Body Composition Analysis with Dr. Zampiello  


Measuring body fat in relation to lean body mass is an integral part of a health and nutrition assessment, as research has shown that body composition is directly related to optimal health. 


That’s why we offer a targeted body composition analysis using Bioelectrical Impedance (BIA). BIA can determine Excess fat in relation to lean body mass can greatly increase your risks for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and more. 


BIA also provides a measurement of fluid in relation to body mass that can be a critical assessment tool for your current state of health. For instance, you will see if you are simply retaining water, or if you are gaining fat, and vice versa. 


Since fat loss is the goal when people set out to lose weight, and muscle gain is the goal when people set out to gain weight, monitoring body composition changes (fat weight vs. lean fat free weight) is actually more accurate in tracking progress than with weekly weigh-ins. 


Often dieting makes us lose our healthy fat stores plus lean muscle mass, which is why we tend to rebound with even more weight gain afterwards, and cannot maintain our new weight.


Rather than feeling frustrated with the scale, health-conscious people are usually very happy to learn of their progress when viewing BIA results. When you track your body composition, you get immediate feedback as to whether what you are doing with exercise, diet and lifestyle is positively or negatively affecting your body.


Most often patients will come in every 1-4 weeks to track body composition and see progress over time.



Weight-loss injections for metabolism, energy, and cravings

Injections are typically given in the glute muscle and administered by Dr. Zampiello during your weekly office appointment.
